Beaver Lake Middle School Club 7 Program - Club 7 consists of three sections (one per grade level) of an intensive homework completion program targeted at students who are chronically failing classes. (2009-2010 / $10,000)
  • National Board Certification Scholarships that give teachers access to the ‘pinnacle’ of professional development programs; equipping them with the tools to develop inquisitive, engaged learners. Beaver Lake currently has three National Board Certified teachers.
  • VOICE (Volunteers of Issaquah Changing Education) - a mentor/tutor program that pairs caring community volunteers with struggling students to improve academic performance, boost self-esteem, and help curb the high-school dropout rate. At Beaver Lake, 10 students are presently being served by 10 mentors.
  • GLAD - a ‘best practices’ professional development program helps teachers reach children of every learning style to help them excel. Beaver Lake Middle School has four GLAD trained teachers.
For the first time this year, ISF is helping to fund a Financial Literacy Curriculum for all 8th graders, which culminates in a field trip to the Jr. Achievement Finance Park.  In addition, they will help to support the Robotics Club at BLMS.
The Foundation needs your help to continue providing these programs—and more, to our students.  You may donate online at www.issaquahschoolsfoundation.org.

VIS is an organization that exists to support voter campaigns for levy and bond issues that must be periodically renewed for Issaquah School District.  While there are none on the ballot this year, VIS always welcomes help to prepare for the next campaign.  You can go to www.visvote.org to donate and/or volunteer.
